Me Again

Hello, I'm back. I just saw 'Men who stare at goats" and it was stimulating, in it's way.
No, not THAT kind of stimulation, the mental imagination was tickled.
It made me aware that more and more hidden things coming to light, but does that make them more accessible, or are we just letting those in power have use of these things? Let's stick our collective heads in our comfort pillow and give our choice to someone else...
Be that as it may, I think MY Jedi powers are the bomb.
Mind Control, invisibility..
Just waiting for that mission any day now...

Mold detection for your safety

About 3 months ago, we noticed some leakage in our roof, and living in Florida, began to worry about water damage and mold. We had someone out to look at the roof, and they saw the place that needed fixing and just patched it, and that was that. We thought.

Well, our boy started to get this cough, (and he's usually healthy as a horse, knock wood ) so when we took him to the Doctor and he asked: "Has he been in any different environments?", I remembered the leak and the "quick and easy" fix. We told the Doctor about it and he asked if we had seen any visible signs on the ceilings or walls, and we said no ( I'd already looked ).
Since there were no patches of discoloration that we could see, we decided that an indoor air quality test was needed. A real friendly fellow by the name of Paul came out and explained that mold isn't always visible, and that it could be inside the walls and ceiling. I immediately pictured great, gaping holes in my walls, but Paul assured me that with his mold detection equipment, it may not be necessary.

The first thing that needed to be done, he explained, was that the air needed to be sampled and sent to a lab to see if there were anything in it that might be the cause of our troubles. The process was quick and easy and when Paul left, he assured me that he'd stay in touch and would let me know as soon as he did the results of the test.

Paul was true to his word and when the results of the test came in he made the time to come out and, using his infra-red scope thingy (I know, too technical) we discovered the problem spot(s!) and using some special disinfectants, removed the mold.

Paul did a great job, and even handled talking to the house insurance guy. They paid him, (since this was what house insurance was for ) and a day later Paul called. Just to ask if everything was alright. Yes, Paul. Everything is alright.
